From the President

I made my first “public appearance” as Wolverhampton Law Society President on 3rd July when I attended the so-called “Gift Box”.

A temporary art –installation brought to Wolverhampton at the initiative of Bilston Soroptimists the “Gift –Box” is aimed at supporting the UN’s global initiative to raise awareness about human trafficking. Complete with beautiful wrapping and with a ribbon on top from the outside the “Gift Box” appears enticing and full of promise. However, once you get beyond the attractive exterior what lies behind is a portrayal of the harsh realities of human trafficking.

The Gift Box was in Dudley Street for 2 days drawing attention to this worthy cause and attracting plenty of interest from members of the public.

I am pictured below with Nerys Rees of Bilston Soroptimists.
